This year’s topic

Update on perioperative myocardial damage

During the two-day meeting, top speakers from many different countries will discuss the perioperative care of patients at risk for myocardial damage occurring after noncardiac surgery. The new developments in the understanding of this disease, its consequences in terms of perioperative morbidity and mortality, how the new monitoring techniques can help us in detecting the subjects at risk, and the potential therapeutic pathways that are being investigated will all be discussed.

The congress will be a highly interactive meeting to update knowledge & get inspired. Participate in the Meet the Expert sessions, which serve as a unique opportunity for delegates to sit down and converse on a more one-to-one level with the experts in their field.

The contribution of international Key Opinion Leaders will provide a great opportunity to gain further knowledge of clinical practice and improvement of patient care.

Places are limited so don’t miss out. Registration will open soon. Please stay tuned for more information.

About the ESAIC and Focus Meeting

The European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) is the largest professional community of anaesthesiologists in Europe. We strive to promote the professional role of the anesthesiologist and intensivist, maintain the highest standards of practice and patient safety, and foster an exchange of information between our global community. We achieve this through the many resources, educational tools, research support, and networking opportunities we provide our members, colleagues, and partners – all of whom are part of the larger anaesthesiology and intensive care community.

Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists guide the medical care of patients from the time of contemplation of surgery throughout the operative period to full recovery. This key role in the patient’s perioperative trajectory is highlighted in this year’s annual ESAIC Focus Meeting on Perioperative Medicine, which addresses a single area of perioperative medicine with the aim of offering complete and in-depth understanding of a target subject.
